1. fisher stevens as zig. maybe my favorite performance of his...ever. re-like.

2. this instant classic of a line spoken by hank: I am not adverse to the occasional choke and stroke, but this is a prime example of why one must always use the buddy system!

shoutout: i would not have found this song as easily without the benefit of the iphone app - "soundhound" - awesome stuff...it also helped me discover the artist behind an *interesting* cover of "light my fire" (it was the ebony rhythm band, fyi) heard at dinner...yes, virginia, there are some *good* uses for all this bitchin' technology...

so, I’ve got 10s of thousands of songs in my iTunes. 

i’ve had my Mac less than a year and still have a lot of stuff i haven’t listened to since burning/transferring from my other computer. 
my listening habit is usually to find some album i’m hot on and listen to that for a while (currently: Eminem Recovery) and then move to the next. 
also, i listen to a lot of Radio Paradise 

however, yesterday, i was doing a lot of organizing around my place and thought "maybe i’ll set up a smart playlist based on stuff i’ve never heard in iTunes.” really, i think like that. so, set it up, worked all day and found some really great stuff that i hadn’t heard in forever or never for whatever reason. i tweeted/fb’d a lot of those as it went along. 

one was this Johnny Cash’s version of Depeche Mode’s Personal Jesus. genius…and i’ve had it on an almost a constant loop since and thought you should hear it. enjoy…

The Yankees Win, Thuuuu Yankees Win!

Nice comeback win for the Yankees tonight against the Dodgers. Trailing 6-2 going into the 9th, the Yanks managed to tie it and then put up two more in the 10th to win 8-6. Also, of personal satisfaction to me, most of the Dodger fans had left and the last two innings almost sounded as if they were being played in Yankee stadium as the faithful fans stuck it out and saw a nice come from behind victory. I have a personal distaste for leaving games early to "beat the traffic" or whatever. Stick it out! Your team may need you. 

It was so much Yankee love at the end that I almost thought I was going to here Frank belt it out when that final out was made. Take it away Frank!
